Appointed in 2005 as the Omani Ambassador to the US, H.E Al-Mughairy is the first female Arab representative in Washington. Having spent numerous years in the US, she is committed to improving the image of Arab women in the US.
She is an economist with a Master’s degree from New York University. As the Omani Ambassador, she has been a strong supporter of the US-Oman Free-Trade agreement, as well as the improvement of relations between US and Oman.
Today, H.E Al-Mughairy is married to her husband, Fuad Mubarak Al-Hinai, the Oman ambassador to the U.N, with whom she has two children.
